Ellen Raskin
1. Ellen Raskin did art work for other famous books including A Wrinkle In Time (Kruse).
2. Intended to enter the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduate with a major in journalism but instead graduated with a major in the fine arts (Kruse).
3. She created many pictures books including Nothing Ever Happens on My Block, Silly Songs and Sad, Spectacles
Ghost in a Four-Room Apartment, and It Rained, the World's Greatest Freak Show, and many more (Kruse).
4. Created many novels such as the Mysterious Disappearance of Leon (I Mean Noel), Figgs and Phantoms, the Tattooed Potato and Other Clues, and the Westing Games (Kruse).
5. She won over 30 awards for her books, including the Newbery Honor (Kruse).
6.She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on March 13, 1928 (Kruse).
7.She is known as a self-critical, running-scared, compulsive perfectionist (Kruse).

9. Ellen Raskin believed that the outside margins of a book should be at least equal to the width of an average eleven-year olds thumb, so the reader could read comfortably with any interference (Raskin).
